Fire protection was desperately needed for the rapidly growing area north of the Village of Patchogue located on the south shore of Long Island in Suffolk County, New York.
Our fire and emergency services proudly safeguard a diverse community that stretches from Canaan Lake in the north to beyond Swan Lake on the south eastern end of the district.
Make an impact in the North Patchogue community.
We are seeking highly motivated community members to join our diverse ranks.
We provide a full range of firefighting, emergency medical, and heavy rescue skills to the population of over 18,000 out of our three firehouses strategically placed throughout the 6.6 square miles of the fire district.
On any given day we respond to a variety of emergencies at our neighbor’s homes, commercial buildings, or along heavily trafficked Sunrise Highway which cuts directly down the center of our response area.
Do You Have A Spark Of Interest?
Joining can be intimidating. However, there is always a constant need for ambitious members of the community at the North Patchogue Fire Department.
There is no starting from the bottom. We are flexible and assist in working with you and around your schedule. For those with prior or current firefighting experience we have initiated a transfer program to help with an easy transition into our organization. There is absolutely no experience necessary, all fire training provided at no cost.
